Today Novosoft Inc. released Handy Backup 3.0, a new version of their popular backup utility for Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP, designed to protect valuable data from irreparable loss or damage. The program makes an automatic backup of critical data to virtually any type of storage media: floppy disk, hard drive, network drive, or remote FTP server.
Novosoft began distributing Handy Backup in August 2001. Since than the product has been upgraded to provide its industrial strength reliability and improved performance. Multi-threaded transfer engine executes backups in the background with minimum system resource consumption. New features have added in response to users' comments and requests. Improved user interface provides more intuitive access to all program features. Adding individual files and folders to a backup item has been simplified. Now users can select multiple folders through setup process. Various options have been added to manage data compression and security.
In addition to functional enhancements to the core Handy Backup product, this new release has been reworked to increase reliability and eliminate possible problems with firewall software.
